I've been surprised on my birthday before
But this one is going to be hard to top

A weekend trip to Goa!

There's something about Goa.
Time slows down almost on arrival.

This was my first visit in the peak season, so it was a whole new experience!

Topless women - mostly senior citizens, on Baga beach, flaunting their two pair - a ghastly sight!
While i admire their self-confidence, clearly, they've forgotten that the saying actually says "IF you HAVE it.."

The Carnival opened the same weekend, and there was a Salsa night at Calangute beach, complete with a Goan band, live performances et al.
Was fun, especially when they sang 'Dil Le -gayee Kudi' Goan-style!
(Wonder why they sang the song at a salsa night in the first place!)

Love the way the lead guitarist pronounced 'kudi' - it was like 'coo-d'!
